The strongest sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen is Satoru Gojo.
When Gojo activates his Jujutsu or Domain Expansion, he makes a unique hand signs.
In this article, a native Japanese writer explained Gojo’s cursed technique, domain expansion and the original source of the hand signs including Japanese backgrounds.
Cursed Technique
Satoru Gojo uses three kinds of Jujutsu, Blue, Red, and Purple.
I will explain each one.
Blue is the Cursed Technique Lapse and activated by flowing cursed energy into Satoru’s innate cursed technique, Limitless.
The effect of the Blue is to create an attraction force.
Red is the Cursed Technique Reversal and activated by flowing positive energy generated by multiplying negative energy into the cursed technique.
The effect of Cursed Technique Reversal is the opposite of the Cursed Technique Lapse, so the effect of Red is to create a repulsive force.
The hand signs of Blue (蒼) and Red (赫) are palm open and fingers up.
In addition, the Purple is a Jujutsu that pushes out the virtual mass created made by the collision of Blue and Red.
The Purple is activated by pushing out the folded index and middle fingers.
And, the hand sign of the Purple would represent the both of those of the Blue and the Red.
In other words, the hand’s movement of the Purple would represent the collision of the Blue on the palm and the Red at the fingertips.
What Does Unlimited Void (無量空処) Mean
The Japanese meanings of Unlimited Void (無量空処) is described here.
無 (mu)
“無” means “No”.
量 (ryo)
“量” means the “Amount”, “Quantity”, and “Volume”.
So, “無量” would mean “Amount of no limit”, “Infinity”, or “Unlimited”.
空 (ku)
“空” means “Empty”, “Void”, and “Sky”.
処 (sho)
“処” means “execution”.
So, the word of “無量空処” would represent “Execution puring the no limit information to your empty”.
Hand Sign of Unlimited Void
Satoru Gojo can use a domain expansion, Unlimited Void.
The Unlimited Void pours infinite amount of information to kill targets.
Nanami said that if Gojo hit the Unlimited Void, he wins for sure.
So, the Unlimited Void must be one of the strongest domain expansion.
When Gojo activates the Unlimited Void, he makes a hand sign that crosses the index finger and the middle finger.
And, the original sorce of this hand sign must be Śakra (帝釈天).
Śakra is one of the guardian deities in Buddhism, and originally a god called Indra.

Śakra (Sanskrit: शक्र Śakra; Pali: सक्क Sakka) is the ruler of the Trāyastriṃśa Heaven according to Buddhist cosmology. He is also referred to by the title “Śakra, Lord of the Devas” (Sanskrit: Śakra devānāṃ indraḥ; Pali: Sakka devānaṃ inda).[1] The name Śakra (“powerful”) as an epithet of Indra is found in several verses of the Rigveda.
Indra was the central existence and the emperor of the gods.
In addition, Śakra was particularly excellent in combat and was called a martial arts god.
The image of Śakra as “the emperor of the gods” and “the martial arts god” is probably reflected in the features of Unlimited Void, one-hit-hit kill and the strongest.
However, it is said that Indra, who passed his prime, weakened and was often defeated by demons.
Well, I think it’s hard to imagine that the strongest Satoru Gojo will be weakened.
